When it comes to your wardrobe, Lauren says: 'Lined storage bins are great for storing delicate items of clothing and prevent them from snagging.'

And if you have a busy family home, Lauren adds: 'Open storage baskets with handles are great for kids' toys – that way kids won't have to struggle with lids and can literally throw it all back in when it comes to tidy up time.'

Tasha's storage tip: 'Choose a storage basket that matches the colour scheme of the room you're in so it will look good on display by the side of the sofa or tucked away in a cupboard for extra storage.'

The location of your storage basket completely depends on its use. Bathroom storage baskets make brilliant laundry hampers, whilst wire storage baskets make handy additions to kitchen shelves. 'I love to use a storage basket at the front door,' says Lauren. 'It tends to be the place where items get dumped. I say embrace it and add a stop-gap storage basket.'

Tasha suggests keeping storage baskets on hand throughout the house: 'Have them by the side of the sofa with an extra throw in them, in a bedroom as a laundry basket, or even outside with a few plant pots in!'
