The cult of the beauty advent calendar is ever expanding, and now, raising the bar for most luxurious offering comes La Collection Privée Christian Dior Advent Calendar. A first for 2022, the limited-edition advent calendar sits alongside the house's coveted annual offering ­­– which includes a mixture of Dior Beauty classics, and exclusively celebrates the brand's portfolio of refined fragrances reflecting the unique legacy of the founding couturier.

An ornamental masterpiece in itself, the wooden construction – decorated with a Pietro Ruffo pattern representing the 30 Montaigne Dior flagship in Paris – is designed to be endlessly reusable. Within the 24 drawers comes an array of luxuries from the La Collection Privée line, with some stellar highlights contributing towards its extravagant £2,800 price tag.

Expect four full-size (40ml) fragrances, including the eau de parfums Gris Dior, Lucky, Ambre Nuit and Oud Ispahan, plus eight 7.5ml sample sizes of other La Collection Privée perfumes, together forming a sophisticated niche fragrance wardrobe.

There is also a full-size (250g) Christmas edition of the cult, soft and spicy 30 Montaigne candle, 85g versions of the Figue Mediterrannee, Ambre Nuit and Jardin D’Orangers candles, and three candle accessories: a lid, stand, and snuffer. In addition, you’ll find four large soaps (in scents Lucky, Ambre Nuit and Oud Ispahan) as well as an exquisite surprise behind door 24 – a unique scented bauble created in partnership with La Maison Franc.

The 8cm ornament is filled with Eau Noire, a classic scent by master perfumer Francis Kurkdjian, now perfume creation director at Christian Dior Parfums, who composed it as one of the three initial fragrances forming La Collection Privée Christian Dior. Similarly aesthetically stunning, the bauble's structure was created using the ancestral hand weaving practice from lavender harvested in Provence, and also combines fabric and embroidery detailing plus Dior golden charms. Like the calendar itself, it's the ultimate Christmas keepsake.
